Coach Meghan joined OZ in 2005. She has been involved in competitive swimming for over twenty years. As an age group swimmer, she swam for North Jeffco Swim Club in Arvada, CO and Chinook Aquatic Club near Seattle, WA. In college, she competed for the George Washington University, in Washington D.C. While at GW, Meghan was an Atlantic-10 conference champion and record holder in the distance freestyle events as well as an NCAA qualifier. She has a degree in Russian Language and Literature. After College, she spent one year as a “professional” marathon swimmer, competing in both North and South America in ridiculously long races, anywhere from 16 to 50 miles. As a coach, she has served as an assistant coach at Nicolet High School, Schroeder YMCA and Germantown Swim Club. She then went on to become the Head Coach of Germantown Swim Club for a year and a half before moving to Colorado and taking time to be a mom for few years. Upon returning to Wisconsin, she began working with both children and adults in the Madison area. She and her husband Dean moved to Grafton in 2005, where they currently live with their two children.
