Coach Szydel has been coaching beginning swimmers for over twenty years. He guides his swimmers through the beginning phases of swim team working with them to develop their strokes and confidence. Many of Coach Szydel’s swimmers have recently completed lessons and are not yet proficient in all four competitive strokes. By the time they have graduated from his group they have mastered the strokes, learned how to do flip turns, and learned proper starts off the blocks. Coach Szydel teaches the fundamentals of swim meets, how they are run and when swimmers should get ready for their events. His swimmers learn skills while having fun. Games and play are incorporated into practices. Coach Szydel’s swimmers are always enthusiastic and grinning! He takes his love for swimming to other teams as well.
